small-SME-25%-GC-BadgeThe Government’s Chief Procurement Officer, Bill Crothers, recently announced savings of £1.4bn from centralising the public procurement process and £1.8bn from the better management of government contracts in 2013/14. He also underlined the Government’s commitment to meeting their target of awarding 25% by value of the £230bn annual public sector spend to SMEs by 2015.
