For improved convenience and environmental sustainability, consider installing a Grosvenor Contracts automated blind system. These blinds are hardwearing and easy to clean and maintain and come in a wide range of stylish options to suit any office or healthcare environment. All are fully adjustable to provide maximum privacy while reducing glare and heat.
You can choose between roller, vertical, panel glide and Venetian style automated blinds. For ultimate ease when operating these blinds, there is the option of a remote-controlled system with sleek, handheld remotes, or attractive, flush fit wall mounted operational switches. A battery-powered version is also available.
Whichever you choose, operating these blinds couldn’t be easier. The sensors detect changes in sunlight, heat and wind to ensure the correct working conditions are maintained throughout, day or night. The quiet motors ensure disturbance is minimised when the blinds are in motion.
For larger spaces, multiple blinds can be linked together to allow them to be operated simultaneously as required, using only one control. These blinds can be made to accommodate a room, no matter its shape, with tensioned systems keeping the fabric taught even when fitted at irregular angles.
Made from durable components, these blinds need minimal maintenance and are fire retardant. The automated features eliminate any ligature issues, and the blinds are made from wipe clean, washable fabric, making them ideally suited to a healthcare environment.
The glare and heat-reducing properties of the fabric we use make these blinds perfect for use with interactive whiteboards often found in offices, with blackout fabrics also available where greater light exclusion is required.
Grosvenor Contracts has a wide range of roller blind systems which can be adapted to suit a number of different environments, from schools to hospitals to office workspaces. Whether you’re looking to reduce heat and glare, provide complete privacy, or block out light completely, you can find the right roller blind for the job.
The fascia system provides a headbox encased in white powder-coated aluminium, and the cassetted headrail and side guide rails provide maximum window coverage, even on slanting or slopped panes.
They can be operated manually, including a child safety chain tidy, or else include a fully motorised system allowing for wireless controls. These can be solar powered to increase sustainability, along with sensors adapted to detect light, heat and wind which are incorporated to provide a full management control system.
Blackout roller blinds, detailed further below, provide 100 percent light exclusion, while our laser blocking roller blinds offer fully encapsulated laser protection. Dim out blinds are also available. Other options include anti-ligature fittings, described further below, which make them suitable for mental healthcare environments.
These cost-effective roller blinds are easy to clean and disinfect, fire retardant to BS5867 part B, and PVC free, making them more environmentally friendly, and ideal for schools, offices, and healthcare settings.
Fully boxed blackout blinds
These blackout blinds are able to exclude 100 percent of light, making them ideal for any room that requires total darkness, such as operating theatres, photographic darkrooms and science classrooms.
Specially designed to include cassetted head boxes and side channels, and incorporating heavy-duty edge retention fabrics and bottom bars, these blackout roller blinds eliminate light completely while maintaining the durable and high-quality features you would expect from all Grosvenor Contract blinds. The zipped box feature on these blackout blinds attaches the fabric to side channels, ensuring 100 percent of light is blocked out at all times. These blackout blinds come with white or black hardware as standard, and can also be coated in any RAL colour to make them a stylish yet functional addition to any workplace.
These blackout blinds are highly bespoke and suitable for sloped, skylight or horizontal window coverage. They are wipe clean and washable, making them popular with both NHS and private hospitals as well as schools and office buildings.
These blinds have a range of different control options. For manual control, you can choose between a manual crank handle system or a detachable crank handle system. For electronic operation, both a remote control system and a wall-mounted switch system is available.
Designed especially for healthcare environments, and a popular choice for NHS mental health service providers, Grosvenor Contract’s anti-ligature blinds incorporate a load release system which reduces the risk of self-harm.
Instead of being fixed into walls like standard blind systems, they are attached using strong magnetic fixtures, which are designed to break away from the wall when subject to an abnormally heavy load.
They are available as either vertical or roller blinds, and can also be adapted to use with existing curtains or blinds. Simple to install, they are easy to clean and disinfect making them ideal for healthcare environments.
Many modern workplaces now incorporate skylight windows as an attractive way to provide extra light and ventilation and improve the overall working environment. However, the extra light and heat that skylights allow into a room is not always ideal. Commercial skylight blind systems offer total privacy while combating inconvenient glare and reducing heat to provide greater comfort and practicality in the workplace or healthcare environments.
Durable and easy to maintain, these skylight blinds are a cost-effective, professional looking solution for windows in ceilings and roofs, whether large or small, sloped or horizontal. The fully remote-controlled system provides easy access and adjustability, while the range of fabrics available allow you to adapt to your particular working environment.
The wipe clean and washable fabric is ideal for healthcare settings, while blackout and dim-out fabrics can provide the necessary light exclusion necessary for science labs and photography dark rooms. The glare and heat reduction provided by these blinds makes them ideal for use with interactive whiteboards.
In many settings, Venetian blinds are an ideal type of window covering due to the flexibility they provide for light control, along with contemporary style. The slats of a Venetian blind can be opened in varying ways to allow the optimal amount of light into a room, which can depend on the time of day and amount of privacy required.
Venetian blinds come in four different slat sizes – 16mm, 25mm, 35mm and 50mm, with the thickest slats ideal for commercial buildings. Material options include aluminium and a range of different natural wood effects. They can be operated by wand or cord, with all our cord operated Venetian blinds including child safety cleats, with crank-mono control. There is also the option of installing motorised blinds.
We have Venetian blinds to suit all kinds of window shapes, including sloped, arched, circular and can create bespoke shapes where required. We also offer these blinds in a wide range of colours and decorative tapes, with sample swatches available, so you can find the perfect shade to match your particular workplace.
If desired, these blinds can be fitted between double glazing window panes, and handy partition controls mean you won’t have to open the window to operate these blinds.
As with all our blinds, they are easy to clean, disinfect and maintain, making them ideal for healthcare settings, schools, offices and other commercial buildings such as banks and shops.
The vertical blinds offered by Grosvenor Contracts provide some similar benefits to Venetian blinds, as they can also be adjusted to allow varying levels of light into a room while maintaining privacy and reducing heat and glare.
Available in 89mm or 127mm sized louvres, these cost-effective blinds come with a 40mm headrail. They can be customised to suit any workplace. For example, to suit a healthcare environment, you can choose to have weights sewn into the slats, anti-ligature fittings, a wand instead of a cord for operation, plus they are easy to clean and disinfect. This has made them popular for use in NHS and private hospitals. Fabrics that reduce glare and heat make them ideal for offices, banks and schools, particularly where interactive whiteboards are used, and blackout fabrics block out light, often a requirement for science labs and photography darkrooms.
These vertical blinds can be crank-operated, or motorised and controlled via a wall-mounted switch or remote control system.
