The Department of Health is contributing to the Government’s SME agenda which aspires to make 25% of central government procurement spend go to SMEs by 2015.

As an NHS buyer you can help meet this aspiration by using SMEs like Grosvenor Contracts.

The department has republished its small and medium sized enterprises (SME) action plan.

The plan sets out the activities that will take place to support SMEs during the department’s procurement processes. The action plan supports the government’s aspiration that 25% of spend goes to SMEs by 2015.

The updated action plan was signed off by Dr Daniel Poulter, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Health and the department’s ministerial SME Champion on 28 November 2012.
