Elegant Soft Furnishings with a Contemporary Twist

Project Scope: Soft furnishings supply and installation across reception, main stairwell chandeliers, and the ladies’ restroom.

Overview

Grosvenor Contracts was commissioned to enhance the interiors of the prestigious In & Out Club in London. The brief required a sympathetic approach that complemented the club’s historical elegance while introducing rich, contemporary fabric textures and details.

Reception Area

We delivered a tailored soft furnishing solution that added subtle opulence to the club’s reception space.

• Bespoke Pelmet: Upholstered in Iliv Tahoe Mink, the pelmet was finished with striking contrast Iliv Tahoe Raspberry fabric-covered buttons.

• Bench Seat Cushion: A coordinating bench cushion was created in Tahoe Raspberry, ensuring continuity of design and colour.

The warm mink tones and raspberry detailing provided a refined contrast, echoing the club’s traditional aesthetic with a modern accent.

Main Stairwell

To complement the grandeur of the central chandelier and stairwell, we delivered a complete drapery and detailing package:

• Curtains: Two pairs of full-length curtains in Iliv Aurify Bordeaux, paired with matching tiebacks for a stately finish.

• Pelmets: Coordinating pelmets were also created in Iliv Aurify Bordeaux, embellished with Iliv Elegance Saffron buttons for visual interest and colour layering.

• Light Chain Sleeves: In a creative detail, we fabricated custom sleeves for the chandelier light chains using the same Elegance Saffron fabric, subtly tying in with the curtain pelmet accents.

This cohesive design brought warmth and grandeur to the club’s most prominent architectural feature.

Ladies’ Restroom

Our in-house soft furnishings team designed and handmade a selection of cushions to introduce comfort and vibrancy:

• Standard Cushions: Three cushions were made in Iliv Imali Plum, offering a rich, textured pattern.

• Bolster Cushions: Three half-round bolster cushions were also included, adding layered softness to the seating area.

These accessories provided both comfort and visual flair, enhancing the luxurious feel of the restroom area.
